Call for Knitting Pattern Donations
Knit Pink is looking for knitwear designers to donate an original knitting pattern (or two, or three!) to be sold exlclusively on knitpink.com. All profits from the sale of these patterns will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Association via their online donation service.
We are looking for a variety of knitting patterns from scarves to sweaters. Remember, the more complex the pattern, the more it will be sold for. In turn, more money will be donated in support of breast cancer research.
We ask that:
- The pattern be an original design. You may include crochet elements, but the pattern should be mostly knit.
- The pattern cannot be sold or available for free on any other websites (including your own) or in any print formats.
- The pattern prototype be knit in pink (any shade will do!). You may incorporate another color or two, as long as there is some pink. Please include at least one high quality picture in your pattern.
- Your pattern use standard knitting terminology with clear directions.
- The final pattern document be in PDF format. If you need help designing the finished product, you may supply your photos in JPG format and your pattern in a Word doc, and we can help with the finished product.
Once you have submitted a pattern to Knit Pink and the pattern has been accepted, the pattern will be available for immediate purchase and download on the knitpink.com website. You may not sell the pattern on your own site, but you are more than welcome to describe the pattern on your site, with a purchase link to the corresponding knitpink.com pattern page. Even though your pattern will be sold on knitpink.com, you will still retain the rights to the pattern ownership. You may include all of your personal copyright information on the pattern as well as any links to your website. If you wish to discontinue selling your pattern on knitpink.com so that you can sell it on your own, all you need to do is contact us.
